Please note the group agreements for the class:
Though we will be offering skills that are therapeutic in nature, this class is not group therapy.
There will be some space for group sharing, however given the limited time and scope of this class, there will not be enough space to support processing.
If anything in this class is activating, you will need to process with outside support (i.e. therapist, family/friend, community mental health services).
Your sharing and the sharing of others will be held in confidentiality by us (leaders) and you (group members). This includes listening with headphones if there are others within earshot.
Allow other group members to share their experience without your response. You can notice with mindfulness how what they shared impacted you, but refrain from chatting or advice-giving.
During the hour of the group, please turn off your phone (or other distracting alert sounds on your computer) and close your tabs, so you can offer your presence to the group.
WE HAVE A RIGHT TO ASK ANYONE WHO IS UNABLE TO FOLLOW THESE AGREEMENTS TO LEAVE THE MEETING TO PROTECT THE CONTAINER AND SAFETY OF OTHERS.
